The Witch’s Bar Chronicles, my inaugural urban fantasy series, follows a witch who’s a little over a thousand years old (give or take– but who’s counting?). Jessie has to save the world from a power-hungry cabal with the help of her best friend, a couple of materialistic and snobby vampires, a Matagot (French cryptid spirit shaped like a huge black cat), a Nain Rouge with a fondness for beer and fighting, a human with insatiable curiosity and more innovation and bravery than everyone else put together, and a ghost who died from a heart attack in the bathroom when a succubus showed him her… talents.

When Jessie retired from the Witch’s Council to open a small town bar in Georgia, her biggest worry was that a vampire groupie might wind up as someone’s dinner. But when a cabal of rogue witches kills a gargoyle at Jessie’s bar in an attempt to target his vampire lover and allies, Jessie must join forces with cryptids, the fae, and humans alike to get to the bottom of the attack, save the world, and really ruin someone’s day.

It’s only been a few months since Jessie and her friends won the fight against the cabal, but the war is just beginning. Tug’s mysterious past comes to a head when Jessie has to race against the clock to help Jared rescue the ogre race from exile– and stop the cabal from learning about Caroline’s twin brother, one of the most powerful witches in a century.

In addition to the cabal’s resurrection, Jessie and Greta are reminded once again that being a witch has some hazards– like an unhinged vampire cult set on word domination, something they both hoped was far in the past. When the cult resurfaces and kidnaps Greta’s niece, she and Jessie must call on their motley band of allies to save the girl.
